BUNKA FASHION COLLEGE, founded in 1919 and based in Tokyo, is Japan’s most prestigious fashion school group. Bunka Fashion College offers a comprehensive curriculum divided into four distinct fashion programs: creation, technology, marketing and distribution, and accessories and textiles. Notably, dressmaking is a mandatory course for all students, taught through the college’s proprietary fashion textbooks. Among its notable alumni is the renowned fashion designer Yohji Yamamoto.
In addition to its educational initiatives, the college engages in the production of original tools and publishes popular pattern books, including the well-known Bunka Shuppan series.
