The entire ruler features a 5mm grid, making it easy to draw parallel lines and make precise measurements. It also includes a particularly useful 12mm seam allowance guide.

Made from six layers of rigid PVC film, the ruler is designed to remain clear, flat and durable even with frequent use.

– BUNKA Multi-Layer Construction –

Unlike rulers where the markings are printed directly onto the outer surface, BUNKA’s original dressmaking rulers use a multi-layer construction.

The measurement markings are printed onto 0.2mm PVC film, then protected between multiple layers bonded together using heat and pressure.

Because the printed markings do not come into direct contact with paper or fabric, they are protected from friction and wear, helping them remain clear and visible over long-term use.

Different film thicknesses are combined to help prevent the ruler from warping or curling.

A specially processed matte film is also laminated into the construction to minimise air bubbles and create a highly transparent, clear finish for easier pattern work.
