Cohana Sakura 2026 small scissors
A small pair of Japanese scissors with a spring finish: sakura-coloured lacquer, fine gold maki-e lines and a decorative tassel. The slender blades suit close, detailed cutting in sewing, embroidery and other crafts.
Made in Seki, finished with lacquer
Hasegawa Cutlery makes the scissors in Seki, Gifu, a Japanese town known for its cutlery. The lacquer work brings a second craft to the tool, with the depth and lustre of a natural finish. A genuine leather case protects the blades between uses, and the included cloth is for gently cleaning the handles.

A note on the Sakura colour
Natural lacquer varies in tone and changes gradually over time. Cohana notes that this edition may initially look warmer or more yellow than its photographs. Keep it in bright indoor conditions, away from direct sunlight, to allow the colour to develop.
Care
Handle the sharp blades carefully. Dry promptly if wet and store in the case after use. Avoid hard or thick materials, impact, high heat and direct sunlight. Clean the lacquer gently with the supplied cloth; do not use abrasives. Keep out of reach of young children. If the lacquer causes skin irritation, stop using it and seek medical advice.
